I lost it at the part where it is shipped with multiple crypto wallets. It is just a google pixel rebranded with really really big red flags. I would never use this.

so, what do you use?

The only feature that is not easily reproducible on another android phone is the fact that grapheneOS is installed. Because that is only compatible with google pixels. For the rest, every feature they stated can also be applied on any other phone with a simple F-droid install. I did it that way.

Maybe I am wrong, but I suggest the #privacy lovers and everyone else to skip this one.

basically 700+ dollar 'google pixel' phones with grapheneos or calyxos preinstalled and some opensource apps plus aurora and fdroid store and crypto wallets according to their webpage.

BIG RED FLAGS:

You need to verify that the operating system is truly authentic. I don't hear anything about that on their website.

They say things like: "one of the privacy feature on this phone is that you can take out the sim card." which you can do on all phones so nothing special and absurd as 'feature'

multiple crypto wallets PREINSTALLED but who says that they are authentic?

You order this phone and they try to make you think that you could use it from the get-go, but if you want to be even little bit secure,

you need to verify grapheneOS, you need to verify any individual preinstalled app (although fdroid could probably do that too) and you need to be sure that they are not sending some keylog data in a hidden app.

in short: questionable claims with really bad amateur explanations. They probably want to Steal your bitcoins or something. maybe the phones themselves are also stolen, who knows...

Right, I looked at the web page and saw they offered a Pixel 8 Pro with 1tb of storage. As far as I can tell, Google only offers up to 512gb on the Pixel 8 Pro. I would just buy a Pixel and install GrapheneOS.

Shady...

No convenience outweighs the risk in these cases.

To anyone considering this: Just take a couple hours, make it a weekend project if you have to, it's fun anyway - Follow the GrapheneOS tutorial, verify your GrapheneOS ROM's hash, and install it the proper way. You'll feel accomplished, it'll be yours, and you'll know no one messed with it. No trusting, just verifying.
