It's not Amethyst. It's the free relays that allow anyone to connect so a bunch of bots are joining and spam the Nostr network. There is not much you can do, maybe support paid relays, they don't have spam
I think there’s a difference between #amethyst & #primal. I’ll attach the pics of my post on both.
