I spent a lot of time this weekend contemplating deleting my profile

On one hand, I really love the idea of a private key to my digital ID. And I have spent time trying to curate and develop some tiny insignificant sense of a following here.

At the same rate, sometimes it does feel like high school and I am not a cool kid. Certain profiles I have absolutely no desire to see and we are such a small community it is almost inevitable.

So I’m not going to follow anyone for a bit. Not that I owe anyone an explanation but I don’t want frens here to take it personally. Slowly I think I will refollow people, but for the time being it’s sortve nice to just be able to share my thoughts without necessarily participating in other peoples posts.

I'd like the ability to create different "folders" for the people I follow.

On Amethyst, we can toggle between global and follows. I'd like the ability to costumize my toggles.

I think it would help in curating my feed to what I want to see. There are people that I follow who's memes I really like, but I also am not a fan of having my home feed being invaded by meme after meme.

That sounds like where I’m at as well. There very well may be tools available to refine this that I am unaware of. It’s not the worst thing though. I can still connect with people and go to their profile. It just feels like I’m guarding myself from all content except what I intentionally seek out.

I think it's a good approach for the time being, with nostr having a smaller community. As it gets bigger, it might become more difficult to see the same faces (npubs) reoccurring in notes.

You can follow hashtags, which will show up on that same toggle.

Create lists of users on listr and they will also appear.
