The most important piece of the puzzle with onboarding new nostriches isn't the technical stuff surrounding nostr and the different apps, functions, and features.

It's about creating meaningful, authentic connections with humans. Quickly. Give them a reason to stay, come back, contribute.

If these new users can't or don't do that don't expect them to stick around. Onboarding MUST emphasize building connections.

True. It's the one reason that keeps me often on the verge of giving up. I feel quite disconnected and unseen and feel like I am talking to a wall and empty space in my own corner of a personal diary or something on the internet here. A year of daily consistent posting, interacting with others, zapping has not really felt like it's actually created much of that. Not to say there aren't a few familiar people who intermittenly pop up here and there every so often but it's not just not sticking. I've stuck through it because I believe in the protocol and here with intention to build and create for the long term future. But it feels quite lonely and often triggers my wound of not belonging. 🥹 Thanks for listening and letting express that. 🫂

The best thing you can do is use your hashtags and interact with content that others create. The more you put yourself out there to others in a meaningful way the more engaging your nostr experience will become. 🧡

on point. i came in with strong, deep resonance to the ethos. finding it hard to make connections and widen my world here - especially given it is a start from scratch though.

It definitely takes time. The more you invest here the more it gives back.
