I believe that increasing prices can be acceptable, depending on the demand and the capacity of the location. However, when price hikes become abusive and unreasonable, it is appropriate for the government to intervene. That said, given the current global situation, attempting to freeze prices or investigate a private company might not be the best approach.The government of that country needs to exercise caution and ensure that an investigation is warranted before taking any action. I believe that an investigation should serve to determine whether the price increases are indeed abusive.

If people are still buying / paying at the prices and prepared to, it’s free market?

There should be a scale level on dynamic pricing. For instance if initially they would be happy with selling out at £40. The scale shouldn’t top 100% for instance.

I’ve a feeling a lot of tickets will end on the secondary market close to the time much less than paid for.
