There's no counter argument. He can do what he wants with his money. Anyone accepting bitcoin can buy it with USD. It's a huge pain in the ass to spend bitcoin unless you get a jolly from it like I and people here do, but if it's just your mode of saving money then it's not an argument situation it's a preference.
