Part of that is nonsense: there's no reason to think an electric sub would have hydrocarbon vapors.
It is true that the air would dramatically increase in temperature due to compression. But the total heat energy of that wouldn't be high enough to burn the bodies completely. More likely the mechanical forces of the implosion would have shredded them.
The hydrocarbon vapours are the crew, so yes an electric sub does have hydrocarbon vapours during an implosion.
At 5,500 psi air and carbohydrates will auto-ignite and flash. The massive implosion triggers an explosion.
It’s not the heat from the air that burns, the pressure simply takes all of the chemicals to a different phase of state. Everything just vaporises and oxidises.
There are real nuclear fusion reactors that achieve fusion by collapsing little bubbles.
Collapse 4m3 of air and people from 15psi to 5,500psi and you will easily go through the auto ignition state and explode the contents of the chamber at the tail of the implosion.
Nobody onboard would have noticed the implosion.
Finally some sense on this topic! And even if the heat was high enough, the rate of heat transfer was definitely not.
Their hair may have been singed… but they were certainly not cooked unless they were in a pocket of air that didn’t get mixed with water for seconds-minutes. On a navy sub, maybe. This tiny thing that blew into two pieces.. unlikely.
You'd think just pointing out that they were utterly crushed by a ~10,000 psi wall of water moving inwards at multiple times the speed of sound with the total energy of hundreds of kg of TNT would be sensational enough.
You’d think the sub implosion would get people’s attention, but they had a lot on their minds.
