Completely agreed and the hubris around Trump stating these intentions so openly is a massive mistake. Could have just worked behind the scenes.

public statements sometimes work better because many partners want to see a public position .. for example India doesn't want to go with China in the currency race but they are being coerced because their dependence on Russia ( for oil) and China ( trade deficit) ..
Such an open position by US would help Modi nip the evil in the budget :-)

I mean even if an Indian company paid bribe to Indian officials , what is there for US DoJ to investigate ..lol .. this is called globalist policing ..
