I lived in Shawnee for a spell. I remember the winds seemed nearly constant in Oklahoma. Stay safe.

Stay safe, don't stay to defend property that you can't defend. Don't rely on firefighters to save you, there are never enough fire fighters to save everyone.
If you do find yourself fighting the fire, remember to wet the bottom of the flames, aim your hose at the ground and try to wet under the fire.
Rakes and leaf blowers are good for quickly clearing debris to make firebreaks.
Block your roof gutters on your house and fill them with water.
Cover your windows with wool blankets.
Don't drive through fires unless your vehicle is made for it.
