I think I need to spend a minute here again to see where things have evolved and where some thing shook out on the Apple /Damus stuff (I got caught up in IRL events for a few months here.)

Let me wrap my head around the changes, that statement and then do a sort of translation.

I had not forgotten about this. When I started digging in I realized I didn’t really need to know about what happened with Apple & Damus. I just assumed that zapple was some sort of workaround because of the name.

There is not a create a page button at the bottom of the page in the screen shot currently so I couldn’t go poking at it to see if I understood it better via that route though.

So I started feeding the text into ChatGPT to see if I could quickly get a more simplified and less technical version. This may not be exactly accurate (since I couldn’t go in and attempt to experience the product but it’s a little less … crypto a little more normal:

ZapplePay has just introduced something called AutoZaps, which works kind of like a decentralized version of Patreon. It lets people create their own pages where others can set up recurring payments to support them.

AutoZaps uses a technology called NWC (Nostr Wallet Connect) to talk to wallets like Mutiny and Alby. These wallets have features that make it easy to approve payments automatically when connected to a specific NWC code.

They've also used NWC technology to build Mutiny+, which is a way to handle payments with Bitcoin in a more user-friendly manner.

If you're curious about AutoZaps, you can check them out here: [AutoZaps](https://www.zapplepay.com/autozap/)

And if you're interested in using NWC for your own payment systems, ZapplePay is open to chat.

If your target market is certain more corporate brands, that’s a whole other thing. Would depend a bit on what sector you’re going after.

I was thinking based on the page they were trying to get more individuals, creators and maybe some app devs that wanted to a decentralized option.

We're talking to a few bitcoin companies

I’ve been thinking about this lately. I would like to approach brands and agencies as a nostr consultant to help them understand the importance of nostr and #V4V so they can use the tools here to build a presence that engages the audience in a way that is mutually beneficial, and nothing like traditional advertising.

I think it’s a great idea! #GrowNostr 😎

The hardest part I think is going to be key management and delegation. You can’t have your social media interns each holding a copy of the nsec, that’s going to go off the rails fast.

Working on a possible solution.

💯 nsecBunker is the only viable solution I’ve seen so far for that. But it’s not supported in every client. And it still doesn’t solve the problem of what to do if the person who held the bunker admin key leaves , or it gets compromised. However, nsecBunker combined with the key migration thing nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft has been talking about might cover all bases. Just needs broader support in clients.

That’s a valid point. Do you have any ideas on how to manage this?

Maybe there can be a version that requires you to put in the nsec and then an additional password that allows managers to log in? Like a dependent subkey that can be revoked by the main public key.

I’m not a developer, but thinking out loud. Maybe it could be a potential solution in the future.

This is what nsecbunker does but it isn’t available on all clients and there are still some challenges with respect to who has access to the master private key.
