I've ordered a gambrel to hoist up the carcass.

I guess the next step is figuring out where to buy the sheep.

Not sure you need to buy them…

Not sure you’ll need to buy them… at the moment they are having a hard time giving them away. 18mths ago a live sheep cost approx $350/head now sheep farmers are de-stocking for the drought, you can pick them up for as little as $70/head.

Yeah - it's a really good time to be stocking your freezer or starting a herd.

Meat is going to be pretty expensive in a couple of years.

Only if you have a secure water supply and plenty of fodder.

I’ll ask around and see what I can find out for you regarding where to buy them.

Warwick Sale Yards are the closest easiest place to buy livestock near Brisbane. However there might be a closer sale yard to Sunny Coast.
