I know Bitcoin dominance is increasing but given all the news about bitcoin adoption relating to nation states, institutions, HODLRs who continue to buy and will never sell etc, why is Eth even rising when Bitcoin does?

Short term focused ESG YOLO investors who don’t know that the cost of broadband and compute decreases over time.

Because there a still many people out there who think Btc and Eth are more or less the same. Bitcoin is simply the biggest and Ethereum the second biggest cryptocurrency. So it makes sense to diversify and buy both if you think a bull market is coming. #Bitcoin and alts should be one the same page…

Nope. It doesn't make sense

That's my point. Nation-states and institutions are buying Bitcoin. Retail is buying Eth. Their prices shouldn't be going up in almost tandem

They don’t. Look at an ETH/BTC chart.

My initial note says “I know bitcoin dominance is increasing” but again I don’t see why btc isn’t blowing it out of the water, particularly with the regulatory uncertainty around Eth

And I’m not sure about the statement that institution buy Bitcoin…most headlines I saw the last days included „Bitcoin and crypto“.

All the ETF applications I saw were for spot Bitcoin. Could be wrong
