Yes.

I think the exclusion of carb, sugar and processed food, etc. is the key. That's why many diets help with weight loss.

I mentioned it in my comment is because my main point is to caution you about salads' effects on gut functions. And to make it clear that even carnivore diet helps lose weight, contrary to mainstream beliefs.
