Seeking tips for little things you've implemented to raise the standard of living for the animals on you farm.

In our first year of homesteading together nostr:nprofile1qqs8v3q3nvvwc444kfmeurgrtem392wkd8dlhedjch693j6kftake9gpzdmhxue69uhhwmm59e6hg7r09ehkuef0qj82pr and I worked on setting up good systems for managing the basic needs of our animals and now are looking to boost their overall welfare.

We've got cattle, goats, chickens and ducks and are keen to hear about any other animals you enjoy keeping too.

I’ve got the automatic chicken door. Small solar panel charger on the roof. Game changer.

I’m struggling to get the hens to use their nesting boxes.

They lay the eggs on the floor. Maybe I just have too much shavings and sawdust in the floor.

I have deep wood shavings on the floor of our coup too and the girls love it but do still lay in their boxes most of the time.

Auto door would make our mornings even more relaxed and I think would be worth it.

You will like an automatic door. It was like $55.00 on Amazon.
