Graphic novels were the missing link! My girls love being read to but don’t love to just pick up a chapter book to read. Yet. But I think I discovered what is going to change that. They are obsessed #grownostr #homeschooling

I love to read and will devour books but comics/manga have a special place in my heart ❤️
They helped with my special needs son. My other son has been a voracious reader since kindergarten and was reading at the college level in 2nd grade, but I struggled to get my younger son to read. He is enjoying it more and more even if it is much more difficult for him. At 16 he reads like my other son at the beginning of Kindergarten.
I loved dystopian future novels at that age. Also known as future predictors when I look around now
This is one that is based off of my hometown and read it back in school. Thought it was too old for her but it’s perfect and she is loving the dystopian genre. Need to find more for them!
