So on Nostr when I see something cool you post and want to share it 100% of the time I do "quote note" or just hit share. About 10% of the time when I do quote note, the original note doesn't show up. When that happens I "steal share" the content.
I am guessing there is some sort of setting some folks use that prevent "quote note" from working?
At this point, I’m just happy the app works when I open it.
I am not aware of any such setting.
Damus may have a persistence bug on that also. Like when a note only shows 3 likes and no zaps, but when you click on the note 27 likes show up, and sometimes the zaps show up. Or click on that notes zap icon to see the zaps manually.

I think different clients do quotes differently. Some make it part of the original thread and others do a new thread. Something like that.
