This started on the Pixel 8 Pro (2 years ago) with Gemini Nano powering Smart Reply in Gboard keyboard in partnership with Facebook.

Gemini Nano runs locally. But it's hard to say if it doesn't send model improvements back to Google.

The problem is other people using Whatsapp on Android won't disable it, much less install GrapheneOS

Your conversations with them will be leaked too
