I stopped attempting to aggressively orange pill several years back, but I still drop hints and don't hide the fact that I have opted out of the traditional fiat system and gone solely bitcoin only.
Still, only 13% off from 2x the 2021 high, I have yet to have a single person reach out...
Everyone will come to Bitcoin. Eventually.
Put a sticker on their door. Bitcoin accepted. Give them a Lightning wallet. Give them some sats. Before you know it, they'll be asking for btcpayserver. And want to dive deeper 🐇⛳️
I've actually set up many with lightning wallets and sent them sats, but the light bulb never went off for them.
To them, it was just Venmo with extra steps.
I need to find people with less financial privelege. 😂
I feel you. You can't help everyone. And it's not your fault. If they're not open to it, that's their problem. Open network. Closed network. They all talk afterward. I just make sure my circle can reach me if they need help. Plenty of family and friends laugh at you. But you get used to that too. Don't worry if you take good care of yourself, your family, and your friends. Some people get on the train. Some get off. And some stay put. 😉
Honestly I just feel bad for the people I shared it with, who could have been DCA'ing over the past 4.5 years...
That said, it took me 7 years after my first bitcoin purchase to finally realize why it is different, why it is needed, and plunge down the rabbit hole.
I just hope someday those people will look back and remember me as one of the touchpoints that led them to Bitcoin.
