People treat nation-statehood as religion/culture. They, like I once was, fell for the lie of nation-building and believing that "only with a civil service do we have a country", when the land has existed for years and culture has as well (sometimes in spite of the government of the day).
in every case, in all the biblical text reading i've been doing in recent months, the bad guys are the kings and emperors and judges and city council politicians
the State is literally the embodiment of the Antichrist if you ask me, and the primary tool of Satan in subjugating humanity
The worst of society seek to fill positions of unchecked and irrevocable power.
Because "they can get away with it", which checks out with such people.
And I would agree, they are the Antichrist - the worst is when the state tries to act Christian for bizarre motives. Truly Antichrist.
