Privacy in #Money is vitally important and should always be part of how we deal with money.

Financial privacy is essential to preserve individual autonomy and limit the power of government (whether authoritarian or not) in people's lives. When our financial transactions and activities are protected, we avoid undue intrusion into our lives and reduce the risk of excessive surveillance.

Privacy in the use of money also protects our ability to make personal and economic decisions without fear of reprisal or discrimination (in cases of authoritarian governments). If all our transactions were closely monitored, we might feel inhibited in exercising our freedom to spend, invest or donate according to our own beliefs and values.

In addition, financial privacy promotes competition and innovation in the marketplace by allowing people to shop for products and services without being constantly profiled. Total transparency could lead to the concentration of power in the hands of a few entities that would control and manipulate the economy (I think).

That is why it is good to make an effort to teach the public this essential point.

And which many of us come to ignore because we think :

"I have nothing to hide".
