the Padre at the sunday mass was talking about this, i was able to understand the part about God's hands... in fact the previous sunday he mentioned him too and i found it odd but i wasn't following what was happening

He's been terribly ill, for weeks. He couldn't manage to speak much, on Easter Sunday, so he had someone else read his message to the public.
Dragging himself to the balcony seems to have used up his last energy, but I'm glad he did it. It meant a lot, and there's honor in simply doing your duty.
