Replying to Avatar Marius

Is obsidian walking the blackberry path? It seems to do everything I need except allowing me to run the server side on my own hardware. Am I missing something?

For my Obsidian notes I use syncthing. Works like a charm and I don't have to deal with another service just for my notes.
