I was under the impression China had the best EVs. A fraction of the price of Tesla and better quality. Why would they buy his crap? They like it over there?

the explosions just mean they are using LiPo instead of LiFePo4 batteries because they are smaller and lighter.
Tesla uses LiPo too, but they have a pretty effective monitoring and cooling systems. But EVERY car that uses LiPo is a potential bomb.
