I respect that influencers rely on engagement to pay their rent and would rather comply with twitter identity verification rather than abandon the platform for nostr.

I don’t think it’s either or

I think they just don’t know about nostr. I’ve been speaking to influencers who were shocked to learn that nostr exists

The problem is that nostr is not super easy to use yet and people don’t know about it

Tell them it's a way to own their follower lists. The best job security for an influencer persona is to ensure no one else can take that list away from them.
