If that is how it’s interpreted, sure. It’s just that I’ve rarely felt this living in the states. It’s always framed as a sacrifice or service to the country. When it’s service to the few who benefited from it.

I hear where you’re coming from. I’ve done my digging into past wars, especially WWII and Vietnam, and angered most of my family with my conclusions.

For me at least, it’s the loss I’m remembering. I’m well past the good guys/bad guys narrative.
