I had a potted plant filled with them recently. If that's the case in your house it doesn't matter how many apple cider vinegar traps you make, they will stay in the soil.

I found this stuff called diatomaceous earth that kills fruit flies and dusted the top of the soil a few times. That took care of it.

Don't inhale the dust. It goes everywhere and it's really bad to inhale. Wear an n95 or do it outside with a fan blowing.
