This is encouraging to hear. He places himself in a precarious situation by being involved with both OpenSats and Ten31 which serve the same market space, obviously in different purposes, but with purposes which create at the very least the appearance of blurred lines. Everyone has seen enough BS in our respective lines of work to know that conflicts of interest exist even when we may insist they don't. He invites every ounce of criticism by remaining active in leadership over both of these entities.
As a member of the OpenSats Nostr committee I must say nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx rarely says anything about the Nostr grant proposals and he doesn't vote on them either. As far as I know the Nostr grant approvals and disapprovals have been following what the Nostr committee decides. Maybe he is manipulating us all from a distance or maybe he is flipping the decisions at an upper layer, but I didn't notice.
Discussion
Bitcoin and Nostr, although they seem like a large enough group (devs and contributors) is still relatively minuscule in the grand scheme of things (software industry). I’m not disagreeing with anyone here, but simply pointing out that as a result of how small Bitcoin and Nostr still are, it is expected that people and projects will overlap (like a small town where the sheriff os also the town dentist, lol). In any case, people get too fucking triggered too fucking fast. Calm down, the truth always reveals itself. Embrace low time preference, and keep shipping, or shitting, the choice is yours. 🧡🧡
