It's like a a bunch of people screaming in my fucking face out of the middle of the conversation with no context about fucking everything.

There are communities on different clients, such as satellite.earth. Some clients have algorithms, like primal. It’s really up to the user to curate what they want to see. The comments you are referencing, I do not see any of, so it is entirely dependent on who you are following, (unless you’re in global, and that’s a shit show). There isn’t a one size fits all approach, it’s all customizable.

Everyone just wants to bitch about news and other shit. It’s exhausting.

I’m feel like a lot of times “alternative” social media is even worse because the castoffs who don’t fit in the mainstream come to these platform and find they can get into an echo chamber of grifting and misery.

Why can’t we just have a place for fun and just have normal conversations?

Idk, I think bc ppl are focusing too much on being 'different' and trying to be perfect so they are the next best thing.

When really, they over complicate it and don't create FUCLL FUNCTIONAL apps.

Like, there developers, they can talk NIP05 and Nsce code all fucking day, yea people can learn it, but why? Why is NOSTR worth all that fucking effort?

What's the fucking payoff? There better be some cool fucking shit here. And irlts Bitcoin, Idc about ppl being belligerent, but honestly it's getting fucking really fucking annoying., then politic bots, having to follow hashtags, relays, and all the shitty apps for it.

And the developers try to deflect and post some dumb shit like, "Nostr is the future. In the future they will know...."

Like, get off your fat fucking ass and start developing Jesus.

In my opinion, they're too many asks of the user. Sure I like nostr and the freedom. But cmon, get real and stop pret6.

Yeah there’s nothing of interest to pull in the “normie” crowd. All the talk of relays, sats, zaps, and whatever sure isn’t going to bring them in.

Build a good app, prioritize ease of use, and simplify everything and maybe just maybe you’ll get enough interest to be the future.

Also being seen as the home for crypto enthusiasts isn’t a great look to a large portion of the world.

upvotes dowvotes nested comments go back to reddit scum. I agree the feed needs better control it's a real battery killer. The refresh rate is every second this should be customizable at this rate I would have global refresh once every 24 hours because as you say so much shit comes in one load.

Even with spam filter on it's still out of control because theres bots that keep creating new npubs spamming the same junk. Which mostly is coming from npubs with mostr.pub addresses. When my feed loads it's usually the same post 3 or 4 times from 4 different accounts.

But yeah not like reddit that place is horrible & it's format is ugly.
