Is it possible it could be 7 digits? E.g. 2255771 to account for the lesser used 1? (I doubt passkey are 7 digits though)
OP says assume 4 digit pin. If you include 1 then there are 4 numbers, each must be used once. 4! = 24 ways to arrange the numbers. We assume it takes ~50% of the attempts to get it right so 12 attempts.
I dont think we should include 1 though. This reduces the total possible to 18, likely requiring 9 guesses.
