Yes I think nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft made a tool to import old Tweets. But if you believe in the egg from the nostr:npub1lrnvvs6z78s9yjqxxr38uyqkmn34lsaxznnqgd877j4z2qej3j5s09qnw5 meme, then we should be making it easier to bring over content creators (and their audiences). I’m worried that we have and will continue to lose good people. Initially it was because the clients were glitchy and difficult to use. But our devs have been incredible solving that issue. You need a large user base to support awesome content creators like nostr:npub1h882a66p0zj5n69s2u8nfzev4f97lzfnlcej84z78p6uqxge5tpqlupz20 - and IMO the fastest way to fuel growth is to incentivize and bring over active content creators from other platforms.

Indeed but there is also a bot to post to X. I get that people invested their time and money to build their following on other platforms but imo some could do more to at least animate their followers to check out decentralised alternatives.

The right move if you’re going to keep posting on the captured networks for distribution is what nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx and nostr:npub1guh5grefa7vkay4ps6udxg8lrqxg2kgr3qh9n4gduxut64nfxq0q9y6hjy do with RHR.

Treat them very explicitly as second class citizens and encourage your audience to come over to a place where the content creator can’t be rugged.

This is not new; people have been using social networks/Amazon for distribution and enticing them to come over to their mailing list for decades.

It’s just now we have a much better place than an email list.

I can respect ODELL for his commitment to only stream on zapstream. It shows is that your followers/ community will follow you same as they're following streamers across streaming sites.

I think many creator underestimate the power they have over their community and their willingness to follow your journey even if it takes them to uncharted seas.
