Where did this phrase come from? Are you crazy motherfuckers out there looking at regular horses in the mouth?

Are some if you receiving horses as gifts?

Here, have some horse

Well now that I've received a gift of horse, from a horse, I have much more confusion 😂

Don’t look a gifted horse in the mouth

You can tell a horse’s approximate age by looking at its teeth. The saying means “don’t try to find fault with something you’ve been given as a gift”

Thank you for this gift of new knowledge 🙏

I will be sure to use it next time I send someone a horse for my appreciation.

Also describing an aging person as “long in the tooth”

Which is a pretty ol timey way of talking to someone.
