For the first time I’m gonna say, Dave Smith can go fuck himself. As someone myself who was denied part of a procedure by United Healthcare using a bullshit excuse as to why, Luigi is a hero to me. They denied part of a surgery on a Friday afternoon at 4pm, my surgery was scheduled for 8am Monday morning. Leaving me with no time to try to appeal. The part they denied would have increased my breathing capacity by 20-30%. So fuck United Healthcare and their dead CEO and fuck anyone who has any sympathy for him!

The timing on the denial is not a coincidence, an algorithm decided that was the optimal time to issue a denial to maximise profitability. Note that it likely had to be a computer program, as they find for some reason humans are less likely to make sure decisions, might have something to do with having a soul.
