maybe I don't understand. if you only have a rock, you still might be able to kill someone. guns make it easier. it's fine to limit access to these more effective tools for killing. you can kill with car but more with a semi. it's harder to get a license to drive a semi. it should be harder to have legal access to a gun than a rock. and harder still to get a fully automatic weapon. etc.

You’re clearly having trouble figuring out how to connect your conclusion to the analogy. Your position makes far more sense in a modern context (although I still disagree with it) than in the context of the analogy you’re attempting to interact with.

The only other explanation I can think of is that you’re not that familiar with the story of Cain and Abel, but you seem pretty educated at least so that’s not my assumption.
