Watched Alien (1979), a sci fi horror film directed by Ridley Scott. Nostromo, a commercial spaceship is rerouted to investigate a mysterious signal. They unknowingly bring on board a deadly organism. This slowly becomes a terrifying fight for survival in a confined space. This film has it all: Sigourney Weaver as the legendary Ellen Ripley, the atmospheric tension, and H.R. ‘s terrifying creation: the Xenomorph. (H.R. Giger had previously worked with Alejandro Jodorowsky for his Dune project in the mid 1970s). The special effects are incredible. No CGI. All the monsters are terrifying. The Android with the white blood and the twitching movements as he goes offline really add to the tension. We don’t see the monsters that much in the movie: this adds to the thrill. Alien is a masterpiece: it redefined the sci fi horror genre. One of my favourites. Impressive for Ridley Scott’s second movie. 9/10 #nodereviews

I love this movie fren

Same. I watched it so many times

One of the best ever 💯

Top 10 easy

Crazy to think it was released just days after I was born 👀

The Xenomorph is younger than you 👀👀

I’m so disappointed

😂

I literally rewatched Alien like a week ago and almost fell asleep I was so bored!

I know, I’m just a mere simpleton who doesn’t understand Ridley Scott’s brilliance.

Did you like any other ones in the serie?

Honestly, not really but I feel like I should! The whole concept is great!

Alien is my favorite movie franchise of all time. It always features strong female lead characters and mixes the thriller/horror genre (and sometimes even comedy) with profound questioning about creation

The philosophical side of the franchise is amazing. Monsters that make you think about the meaning of life.

I think Covenant and Prometheus are my favourites. With Alien really close behind

Same! But also freaking loved the VS Predators. And I realised just now that they are actually cross-over universes! “Prey” and “The Predator” (the comedy one) are not listed on IMDB as being in the Alien series

Prey was excellent. I don’t remember the vs predator ones. I’ll have to watch them
