Radio head was the war cry for an entire generation!

One things I’ve noticed, which low key disturbs me is, when we were young, we wanted to be free. We were especially sensitive to anyone trying to control or censor the internet.

Today, the younger generations seem perfectly content to live in a world of centrally controlled censorship. What happened?

They grew up not knowing what the real internet is. Its up to us to help them see it. And then its truly in their hands.

I suppose there could be parallels drawn with people who will never interact with Bitcoin’s L1. Through the use of trusted third parties like custodial wallets and, Liquid and Ark servers, trust is reintroduced and therefore, immutability goes by the wayside.

We actually need more censorship before they will be able to see the value of censorship resistance…

FedNow went live, last July. It’s only a matter of time, now.

9/11 happened. Governments cracked down because people went insane and demanded protection. As for the young, my younger house mates weren't born before 9/11 so they don't remember freedom.
