I've got an episode coming out this week about home-birth

On the one hand - I want to make content about whatever I find interesting. I like angles where I have direct experience and can share specific decisions. Long term, if I make content due to it simply being about what I find interesting, I think it sets the podcast up for success

On the other - niche, niche, niche... an audience member comes for specific information, when you go off piste, they're potentially not interested in that stuff. Ie perhaps I should really just focus right in on the financial stuff all the time. But I don't podcast for anyone else, so long-term I feel this approach runs out of steam...

Time will tell!

Ps - everyone should consider home-birth. It's arguably safer for both the mother and child

You should definitely follow your interests and be authentic to yourself.

I am reminded of the YouTuber bald and bankrupt who until recently, didn't follow any established doctrine for running a YouTube channel. He is one of the most successful YouTubers around.

He has recently slotted in personal adds for VPNs which I find scammy, but I still follow his adventures 😂
