Twelve years ago my husband was told he needed either nerve blocks regularly or a coccygectomy (tailbone removal) to eliminate his debilitating coccyx pain from a fall.

I found an obscure forum on the internet talking about the condition and learned there was a physical therapist at Florida State who could cure it. Turns out one of his protégés was near our house! Hubs saw him for a single 3 minute (very unpleasant and invasive) session where his tailbone was popped back into place and it has never bothered him again.

I share this to empower you all once again to be your own advocate when it comes to your medical care and health.

Wow, what are the chances that they lived so close to you?! That's wild. Glad he was able to get some relief!

It was so fortunate. I was making arrangements to go to Jacksonville when the professors’ office let me know of his former student who had an office here.
