It is possible that the #Bitcoin  ETF will be good for Bitcoin overall (greater awareness, liquidity, and approval among tradfi investors) while being bad for anyone buying said ETF (due to an eventual centralized rug pull).

Better to stack and hold real #BTC

If it's not L1 with keys, its not bitcoin.

There is no second best.

Lightning is Bitcoin, but the majority of users aren't technically savvy enough and will have to rely on a custodian. At least there's still the option for self custody.

It's good for everyone

Hopefully the ETF will breed the next generation of bitcoiners eventually.

Well said, friend.

Generally, I think we’re all pretty tiered hearing about the ETF🤣. My favorite part: #BTC doesn’t give a fuck.

Hopefully (and certainly if we are to go mainstream) there will be structures to satisfy both the self-custodian needs of individuals as well as institutions. Maybe there are already there but I am not aware. How likely would it be with the current structures that say "google" is able to buy and HODL BTC? Technically everything is there for them to do it, but maybe the (intentionaly) complex reality of finance makes this unlikely?
