“Households in England urged not to go outside between 11am and 3pm on Sunday”

“Residents in parts of England might be well advised to stay indoors on Sunday between 11am and 3pm as soaring temperatures are likely to blast parts of the country. According to the latest BBC weather forecast, Sunday will see highs of 26C in London and Manchester.”

WTF‽ Even at 100% humidity that's just not hot.

It's more to do with the people in that country not being able to adjust to the change in temperature quickly enough- drinking alot of water, wearing sunscreen etc. England keeps having a problem of people getting heatstrokes every year.

Geography and the nature of the country's climate are big factors.

It's not, these headlines are literally just click bait.

I’m sorry but you are talking rubbish.

I'm telling the sad truth, the 'heatwaves' can and have been deadly.

"...An estimated 51,670 deaths in England...were associated with the hottest days over the 35 years from 1988 to 2022."

In 2022 alone '...an estimated 4,507 deaths...were associated with the hottest days in England."

"Heatwaves... are the deadliest extreme weather, as their dangers are less visible than storms or wildfires and often go underreported. People living in cities and the elderly are most at risk from physical and mental health impacts of high temperatures."
