Zapvertising is neat, but not worth my attention for a tiny fraction of a penny.
Need the ability to set a floor of like 100 sats in order for a message to actually be displayed.

No need for that; after the halving, probably nobody's going to zap.

Earlier this week I was brainstorming something like this.
There is a parallel between zapvertisements and livestream donations.
Donations with messages attached are a great way for fans to interact with creators. There is no formal contract, but fans know on good faith that the streamer will read and react to their message, especially if it has significant $ amount attached.
Now imagine a nostr client that enables creators to set a rate floor as you mention, and fans/advertisers pay that rate (or higher) to send "boosted" dms.
Or even expanding upon that, fans could make offers to pay for follows, reposts, etc...
also consider the optionality of hiding / revealing your floor figure to your audience.
keeping it hidden invites the possibility of a 'silent auction' type scenario.
1 sat is the only comparison that you need to be doing

fatter zap can bring more attention but 1sat is also not bad
1 sat zaps are bad; even if I got one every second, I'd be earning way under minimum wage from it... barely over a dollar an hour. That's why it's not worth my time.
