at the peak of ā€œfilm photography is dead, digital photography is the futureā€, i started going to a Goodwill store in a wealthy suburb and buying up film cameras the wealthy normies were dumping. Many of them for $5.

I even saw a Pakon f135 film scanner for $118. Hard to find those for under $3k these days.

point being, ā€œthis is the futureā€ mobs are never 100% right, and often leave significant opportunities open as they rush to the next big thing.

I'm glad I bought a lot of my vintage lenses before everyone decided to use them on their mirrorless cameras.

same. I picked up a konica big mini and contax t2 at goodwills. the big mini is still one of my favs

Great note Fren and Goodwill definitely has some amazing finds that to your point others simply dump there.

What goes around, comes around. Cycles cycles cycles.

I’m going to pick up some gold at a discount when everyone moves on to digital gold and start dumping their physical coins haha
