I'm glad there's at least one other person on Nostr who recognizes that Trump is a corrupt, self-dealing charlatan who's going to enrich himself on the backs of the American taxpayers.

I think most people are nuanced about Trump.

They recognize when he does good stuff, and criticize him when he does bad stuff.

Anyone whose 100% always in support of, or hating on is delusional.

Trump is a human that does some good things but also is flawed, and makes mistakes like the rest of us.

And yes, I know politicians are held to a higher standard because they represent us, and well, all I can say is Trump represents The United States citizenry perfectly 🙃.

The problem is that the bad things he does are so awful that recognizing whatever accidental good things he does only serves to normalize and carry water for him. Like, I'm sure Hitler held the door for someone at some point, but you wouldn't stop to recognize Hitler for that nominal gesture because of how dwarfed it is by his bad deeds.
