If they are violent or causing damage to private property, they are absolutely illegal and should be thrown in jail. Peaceful protests are good, as long as they dont block traffic, because then they infringe on the rights of others.
Well, I hope your take on this correct. Protesting is a right not afforded by much of the world.

Unfortunately, as we saw at the Jan 6 protests, the govt can infiltrate a peaceful protest and turn it into a violent affair, the violence being done by the infiltrators. Thats why i wont participate in one.
We shall see what happens. 🙏
