Yes it is - I hadn’t really taken the quote as something aimed at musicians. The main point I took was when we force the learning at an early age it’s usually driven by adults unmet needs… so it’s breeds an automation, not driven by child’s natural drives

agreed - we have to delve into "will-less" and what drives our behaviour. if we are forced into learning, this forcing fragments the child's natural wholeness—separating doing from being, performance from joy, achievement from intrinsic motivation. I think there is still will but it is what drives the will.
