Yeah, right, they are protecting us by suppressing our data. The truth: Corrupt, elite, egotistical bureaucrats are afraid, small-minded, and mean.
Note the current propaganda talking points on top, next to "news". Governments are withholding data about those too, lots of data.

In my country, the official state media (equivalent of BBC) has had such a banner link for "Russia's Attack" on the news website permanently, since February 2022. The other links have varied, but that one has remaimed in place.
