Dan's website is actually pretty good, that's why I forked it, but the first steps to using it are:

1) Go to GitHub.com

2) Open an account with your email

3) Setup your profile

4) Create a repo

And that's it. We just showed the new Nostrich Dev out the door. Wave goodbye. 😂
