If you've not seen it, it's ABSOLUTE GOLD. The first series is a bit slow and clunky but the last 3 are phenomenal.
1st Series: The dark ages.
2nd Series: Elizabethan.
3rd Series: Georgian.
4th Series: The 1st World War, while still funny, it's actually quite moving and thought provoking this one!

As I say, the first series isn't the best, but fight through it, the last 3 are brilliant. As well as Rowan there are appreances and guest appearances by Rik Mayal (Guest) and also, Steven Fry (Permanent, great characters).

I won't ruin anything for you, but as we're both wordsmiths (Of a fashion), there's an episode, during the 3rd Series, that involves Dr Johnson, who actually wrote the first English dictionary. It is so so so funny😂😂😂.
I promise that is the only spoiler I'll post. He's having a piss up with his mates, and his Puritan Aunt and Uncle turn up😂😂😂😂.
