After one cancelled flight, and a first delayed flight, my last leg to Austin is now delayed by an hour on the tarmac.
Does the United States still have a functioning airline industry? Debate.

My last flight went just fine
Is it still heavily regulated by the government? ✅
Did they fire/force out a lot of pilots and workers due to COVID? ✅
Is the money still broken? ✅
Does it still suck? ✅
Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner.
I fly delta almost exclusively and have barely any issues. Maybe I’m lucky on my routes, who knows
We do not have very much of anything functioning anymore. Functioning is the last thing we think about. We must have diversity, vaccines, gender- please ignore the sudden deaths!- and, wait, what are you talking about 'functioning'? This sounds like a supremacist talking point. Things should function?
Seriously. It's very privileged to expect to get what was promised
I’m flying tomorrow. So hopefully 🤞🏻it’s functioning well then. I’m about a week post op from a big spinal surgery and just trying to go home. Between pain and meds, I have no filter and very little chill so for everyone’s sake I hope there are no hiccups with my flight. Otherwise I might be the latest in airport meltdown news story.
