Historical buildings are largely marvels of beauty.

Nothing we build today holds a candle to this type of architecture.

"Fiat society" today, or something more to the story?

It just doesn't add up, for me.

Corporate incentives and high time preference

Agreed

These were made by giants before the world reset. None of these were built in the early 1800's like they say. Also why do we have the same structures all over the world when were told there was no flight travel. How in the 1800 did the move masaive marbke around with horse and Carriage.. the old pictures and history and stories do not add up

I started going around looking at old world structures

That building at forty storeys wouldn’t work. Too heavy. The bastards needed height. And pre-fab materials were just too inexpensive to pass up.

Despite all that, yes, short term economics over taste.
