Discussion

i was using Zeus and then a few k sats disappeared. Less than 5k. idk what happened... 🤷

It’s possible we closed a channel and the balance is being returned to your on-chain wallet.

Docs here may help: https://docs.zeusln.app/for-users/embedded-node/faq#help-my-wallet-balance-has-disappeared

oh cool. Ty. 🤙

I have a couple questions about Zeus.

1.) What is the minimum amount of sats required in order to create a lightning channel?

2.) Do you have to have the app online 24/7/365 in order to received zapped sats?

3.) Does the Zeus wallet have the ability to convert sats from Lightning to On-Chain?

1) Channel limits are listed here: https://docs.zeusln.app/lsp/channel-differences/

2) No. But you have to open your ZEUS app within 24 hours to redeem. More details here: https://docs.zeusln.app/lightning-address/intro

3) No swaps supported in-app at the moment, but you can use a third party service.

This policy quite frankly scares the ever living shit out of me.

"Channel lifetime: Variable. We reserve the right to close your channel at any point. Channels with large balances pushed to our side, are more likely to be closed."

"Users just need to log in to their ZEUS wallets within 24 hours to claim the payments, otherwise they will be returned to the sender."

I do not know if this policy is intentionally scary, or accidentally terrifying. Either way cool technology, but until your policies change to be less ambiguous, clearly defined, and more about protecting your users funds. This is not for me.

Have a wonderful day.

If you want guaranteed lifetime for a channel, you can always purchase one or upgrade one with the LSP.

Funds are not lost when channels are closed, they are just moved to your on-chain wallet.
